Crystal Lake Beach Club is owned and operated by Ramapo Mountain Lakes, Inc, a shareholder/member corporation, governed by an all-volunteer, elected Board of Directors comprised of RML shareholders/members. RML employs managers and Red-Cross Certified lifeguards to run the daily operations and monitor swimming. Volunteers organize and assist with special events, seasonal set up, and clean up of the beach.

The beach club is a private, membership-based, business. Day rates are not available.

Beach Club Memberships are available for RML Shareholders/Members and non-shareholders.

The beach club season runs from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day. The club is open for preseason weekends from Memorial Day Weekend through the end of June. Then open daily, once Oakland Public Schools let out for summer, through Labor Day.

All members are expected to abide by the club's rules and regulations.

The beach club offers chlorine free swimming in Crystal Lake, a sandy beach, lifeguard monitored swim area, tree-lined picnic grove, snack stand, bathrooms, volleyball, ping pong, small court basketball, horseshoes, areas to fish from, and a non-motorized boat launch.

Crystal Lake complies with the NJ State Public Recreational Bathing Code Water Standards - weekly testing results can be found at the Guard House or at the Department of Health at the Oakland Municipal Building.

The club hosts many special events for families and adults during the day and after hours, including live music nights.

Red-Cross Certified Swim Lessons are available in small group or private sessions. A Waterfront Lifeguarding course is held at the end of June/July.
